Hire Information

Before you set off on your adventure, here’s a simple overview of some of the key things you need to know:

 Booking Your Adventure

• Bookings are only confirmed once your chosen dates are reserved via vdubadventures.com and the £250 deposit has been received. Until then, your selected dates remain open to other potential customers.

Terms and Conditions

• By hiring one of our campervans, you agree to the full Terms and Conditions.  You are asked to agree to these at the point of booking. Please make sure to read through these thoroughly as they contain everything you need for a smooth campervan experience. 

Deposits & Payments

• A £250 deposit secures your hire.
• Your final balance is due no later than 4 weeks before your adventure begins.
• Card details provided at balance payment will act as security in case of any damage during your hire.

Driver Information

• Your booking includes one named driver. If you'd like extra drivers, details can be added during the booking process.
• For insurance purposes, each driver will need to provide all relevant details.
• All UK drivers must provide a DVLA Driver Check Code (You can generate this code by going to the DVLA website and providing the details required: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence)

On-the-Day Essentials

• At collection, please bring the documents needed for insurance cover:

  • Your driving licence photocard

  • Two forms of proof of address eg recent utility bill

Van Condition & Fuel

• Your campervan will be clean and have half a tank of fuel when you collect it.  Please ensure it is returned in the same condition.
• If the tank isn’t half full, we’ll refuel and deduct the cost plus a £25 admin fee from your card. Receipts will be provided.

Damage & Responsibility

• Please treat the van as if it were your own; enjoy its features, but respect its condition.
• If any damage occurs, please let us know straight away. We understand accidents happen and appreciate honesty.
• Repair costs are charged at actual repair value plus a labour and admin fee to arrange the repair. Insurance claims will incur the excess and administration charges.
• Labour/admin charges cover time spent inspecting damage, transporting the van to and from body shops, arranging repairs, and the downtime during repair. We'll always aim to be fair.

Problems or Offences

• If you run into any issues, please refer to your hire information and follow the guidance provided.
• Any driving or parking fines incurred during your trip are your responsibility.
